Afternoon Session Presentations (2pm-5pm)
Presentations, BarCamp-style!
The afternoon session of BarCamp Jonesboro is decided by you, the BarCampers! Everyone is welcome to bring their own presentations. At lunch, all of these presentations will be placed on a wall for everyone to see and vote for. Once the votes are in, the top selections are placed onto the agenda and the afternoon session is set. This crowd-sourcing technique allows you, the audience, to pick the presentations you want to hear…not what we picked for you.
FAQ: Do I have to present something to attend?
Nope, it is not a requirement that you present. You can simply attend to learn new things and meet new people. That said, the event cannot happen without lots of presenters. If your PowerPoint skills aren’t the bees-knees or you really don’t know what to present, you can always team up with someone else. Collaboration is the name of the game. We accept all forms of presentations: solos, duets, panel conversations, core conversations (group participation with a moderator), coding demos, you name it. The goal is to learn, network and have fun; no matter the method.
The Who, What and How of BarCamp Presentations.

Presentations usually last about 45 minutes with 10-15 minutes of Q & A time following. PowerPoint presentations or other visual aids can be a great addition to communicating your topic, but are not required. Projectors will be available in each session room. Please bring your own laptop (if you don’t have your own, not a problem – just let us know in advance and we’ll make arrangements).
